Neck & Shoulders

Neck & Shoulders

Release trapped and stagnant energy

Remain standing with the feet shoulder and hip width apart, parallel to each other.

Keeping the eyes open, sweep the right arm up to head height, slightly rotate your torso together with the right arm. Direct your gaze to the palm of the right hand.

Brush the right hand past the ear to the back left-side of the head. Pressing firmly move it slowly thru the nape of the neck to the right side of the neck. The torso rotates with the movement, returning to face forward. Glide the flexed right hand down thru the neck muscles to the heart, and down the mid-line, against your body, pushing out through your palm, and out past the naval.

Slightly rotate to your right as the left arm sweeps up and around, brushing past the ear to the back right-side of the head. Look at the left palm as the arm and torso rotate together. Press firmly moving the hand slowly thru the nape of the neck to the left side of the neck. As the torso rotates back to facing forward, glide the flexed left hand down thru the side of the neck to the heart, and down the mid-line, pressing the backside of the thumb against the body, pushing out through your palm, down past the naval.

Lets coordinate the movements with the breath to make this even more powerful and joyful.

Once you have the pattern, move fluidly, so that both hands are active and in motion.

Imagine yourself moving like seaweed in the currents of the ocean.

Concentrate deeply and notice how this feels throughout your entire body.

How it feels on the inside is more important than how it looks on the outside.

Continue seven times but stop at any time if you experience pain.
